Powerplay changes the way we that we approach theming with the Zen Grid Framework. Because of the advances in the stylesheet compression that is built into version 1.1 of the framework it means that we can tie together the different elements of a page on the fly and leave the colour options open to you - which means that there are an incredible number of options available to you when it comes to recreating your own Powerplay colour palette.
There are four basic options for deciding on the Powerplay theme:
- Hilite eg links and menu active states
- Background colour
- Bottom Colour
- Main container - the top rounded container for the main content
Creating your own theme is as simple as combining the four elements above.
The css files for each of these elements can be found in the templates/powerplay/css folder and are named according to the area they control eg hiliteRed, bottomBlue etc. Each of the css files reference their own image folders which means that if you are using the hiliteRed theme then the images called by the sthlyesheet can be found in the templates/powerplay/images/hiliteRed folder.
In order to have your own theme variation show up in the drop down list in the template admin all you need to do is upload your css stylesheet to the templates/powerplay/css folder and name the file according to the convention outlined above.
Please view a selection of themes variations that we have created below.
