How to install a Joomla extension
The following step by step explanations describe how to install a Joomla extension or a Joomla plugin.
Understanding the Inside Out left column

One of the striking things about this template is the menu you can see in the left column. The menu is fixed in its position so that regardless of where you are on the content page you will always have access to the menu items.
One of the key considerations in using fixed dynamic fixed elements in web design is that to make sure that the element is never longer than the browser window or that if it is there is a work around in place. This is crucial because when a fixed element such as a menu extends beyond the browser window then the menu items that are below the browser window are not accessible to the user.

The Rasa template has a range of colourful variations of the base module classes that you see on the demo. There are essentially two types of module classes - a standard module title with a bevel edge underline and the smaller more discreet ribbon class.
Each theme in the Rasa template uses a different colour for the base -ribbon class suffix. You can see in the screenshot below how to recreate the smaller -ribbon class.

This base colour can be overwritten by adding a colour to -ribbon class suffix as per the screenshot below:

There are 13 colour variations to choose from:

Creating two line menu items
We are becoming quite fond of the two line menu that you see here on this demo. This menu system uses the core Joomla menu module in addition to a slightly revamped version of the YVBB bbcode plugin that was featured on the Joomla Bamboo blog. We have rewritten parts of this plug-in to make it compatible for use in Joomla menu items without the code getting rendered in the breadcrumbs on your site.

Recreating the frontpage layout
The front page layout of the Inside Out template is reasonably straightforward. The main focus is the use of our JB Slideshow module in the advert1 position and the microblog module in the advert4 position. You can see screenshots of the settings used for these module below.
